Ben Chilwell returns to Crystal Palace on permanent deal | OneFootball

Crystal Palace have completed the permanent signing of Ben Chilwell from Strasbourg, subject to international clearance.

The 29-year-old left-back returns to Selhurst Park after previously spending the latter part of the 2024/25 season on loan with the Eagles, helping them win their first FA Cup at Wembley.

Chilwell made 11 appearances during that spell and scored once before returning to Chelsea. He subsequently joined Strasbourg permanently last summer and featured 34 times for the French club across all competitions.

The England international began his senior career at Leicester City, making 123 appearances before moving to Chelsea in 2020. During his time at Stamford Bridge, he won the Champions League and UEFA Super Cup.

His return makes him Palace’s ninth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Óscar Mingueza, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Dwight McNeil, Evann Guessand, Anan Khalaili, Zavier Gozo, Axel Disasi and Honest Ahanor.
