Strasbourg’s Ben Chilwell agrees to Crystal Palace move | OneFootball

RC Strasbourg Alsace defender Ben Chilwell (29) has agreed to join Crystal Palace, according to a report from Foot Mercato.

Chilwell joined Strasbourg from Stamford Bridge last season and has since made 29 appearances for the Ligue 1 club. The Englishman is no stranger to the Croydon outfit after previously spending time on loan at the club whilst playing for Chelsea. The England international was particularly commended for his leadership in the Strasbourg dressing room.

However, he could be one of the many departees at Strasbourg. After the likes of Diego Moreira, Emanuel Emegha, Valentin Barco, and Guéla Doué, the left-back could become the latest to complete an exit from the Meinau. Foot Mercato understands that he has agreed terms with Crystal Palace. The London-based club are also looking to complete the signing of Quinten Timber from Olympique de Marseille before the closure of the transfer window.
