Benfica have confirmed a new contract for goalkeeper Arnas Voitinovicius, with the 19-year-old entering his third season and having trained once with the first team under José Mourinho.
“It is a good step, now it is about carrying on,” he said. He was speaking to BTV moments after signing his new deal.
He has been a regular in the club’s youth set-up, particularly for the under-23s in the Liga Revelação.
“It is a great club and this step is very important for me.”
“The experience has been very good, it is very different from Lithuania. I have been here for two years and I feel very good at Benfica.” He was among the standouts in 2024/25, contributing to the Taça Revelação triumph.
“I am training with the B team and I feel good. I am playing a lot and I feel I am improving. The aim is to reach the first team and play there, but this is a step forward.”
