Benfica are not pursuing Zagłębie Lubin forward Marcel Regula at present. Record writes that the 19-year-old is not part of the club’s plans and they have chosen not to advance a deal.
Regula has emerged as a name to watch on the international market, and his profile had matched Benfica’s scouting focus.
A Bola recently reported exploratory contacts with the Polish side to gauge terms of a potential move, with a price range between eight and 10 million euros.
The forward has delivered 27 appearances this season, scoring six and adding three assists. He can operate across the front line, including wide areas, which has drawn attention from several European clubs.
For now, Benfica have stepped back, and the summer window could reshape the picture. Regula remains one to monitor and could return to the radar if circumstances change for the club led by Rui Costa.
