According to L'Équipe, Bertrand Traoré has joined Wolverhampton on a free after leaving Sunderland this summer. The Burkina Faso winger, 31, has agreed a deal to the end of the season.

He passed his medical before signing with the Championship club.

Relegated from the Premier League last season, Wolves are turning to the former Lyon man’s experience as they try to return to the top flight.

After spells with Chelsea, Aston Villa and Sunderland, Traoré brings experience of English and European football.

He made 13 appearances for Sunderland last season, scoring one goal. For Burkina Faso he has 91 caps, nine short of 100.
