Black Country Derby revisited, from 5-1 pain to 1991 chaos and carrots | OneFootball

The Black Country Derby returns to Molineux with supporters for the first time since 2012, stirring memories of a 5-1 defeat and an earlier 2-2 classic featuring a concussed keeper and a carrot.

The half also brought a surreal moment as a pitch invader handed Albion defender Graham Roberts a carrot. Wolves’ promotion push later faded, while Albion’s seven draws in their final nine still ended in relegation.

On Sunday at high noon, Don Goodman and Steve Bull will work in the media at Molineux and Dennison will be Wolves’ guest in the museum and lounges. Albion sit third with 14 points from their first seven games, Wolves are seventh, three points back with a game in hand. With an international break looming, bragging rights and early momentum are on offer.
