Bolivia call up three Santos players for World Cup play-off | OneFootball

Bolivia have called up three Santos players, Marcelo Contreras, Miguelito and Enzo Monteiro, for the 2026 World Cup play-off against Suriname on 26. La Verde also have a friendly with Trinidad and Tobago on Sunday 15 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra.

Miguelito has been a standout and a starter under head coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda. He is set to be available for Mirassol on Tuesday 10 at 21:30 at José Maria de Campos Maia in the fifth round of the Brasileirão. He could then miss three further league fixtures.

Because the first international commitment is a friendly, Santos are not obliged to release him. The expectation is he could face Corinthians on Sunday 15 at 16:00 at Vila Belmiro, then Internacional on Wednesday 18 at 21:30, also at Vila, in the sixth and seventh rounds.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the club plan to release him on 20 for the FIFA window, so he would miss only Cruzeiro on Sunday 22 at 16:00 at the Mineirão in the eighth round. The CBF have not detailed later rounds, and he should return after that sequence.

Contreras has been featuring for the under-20s, whose Brasileiro resumes only in April, so he is likely to be released earlier to play the friendly. He started the first three rounds and is consolidating his place under Vinicius Marques.

Monteiro belongs to Santos but is currently on loan at Chungbuk Cheongju in South Korea.
