Bordeaux confirm signing of Pierre-Bertrand Arné | OneFootball

Bordeaux confirmed on Tuesday morning the arrival of attacker Pierre-Bertrand Arné from Chauray, strengthening the National 2 Group A leaders. According to L'Équipe, the club still hope to add a defender who can operate centrally and on the right.

The 25-year-old has agreed an 18-month deal running to June 2027. He had been on the Girondins' radar for some time.

Born in Dutch Cul de Sac in the Netherlands Antilles, Arné is a Saint-Martin international with nine caps and three goals, the team now coached by former Bordeaux striker Jean-Claude Darcheville. For Chauray this season he has played 13 league matches, scoring two and providing two assists.

Standing 1.89 m, he can play left wing or centre-forward, a versatility that appealed to head coach Bruno Irles.

After Saturday's 2-2 draw in Tours against Montlouis, Irles said he had spoken with his players about the imminent arrival. He added that one or two additions who can blend in quickly would help, citing Tidyane Diagouraga, and that a small squad must anticipate suspensions and injuries to stay competitive.
