Bruno Henrique trained with the group on Monday and could bolster Flamengo against Cruzeiro in the Libertadores round of 16. According to Globo.com, his inclusion will be settled after Tuesday’s key session.
The number 27 was rested for the Mirassol match due to pain in his left ankle after a knock in the first leg at the Mineirão. Flamengo are set to play at the Maracanã on Wednesday.
Everton Cebolinha has recovered from a bout of flu, returned to field work and may be an option on the bench for the tie.
Alex Sandro remains out with pain in his right calf caused by tendinitis, Vitão is treating a left thigh muscle injury and is expected to need a few more weeks, while De la Cruz is also managing a left thigh problem.
Leonardo Jardim is expected to continue his rotation, with Léo Ortiz, Emerson Royal, Jorginho and Samuel Lino in line to return to the starting side.
Monday’s session did not involve the full squad, as recent starters worked in the gym, while Bruno Henrique followed his recovery plan with team-mates. After days without full training and with lingering discomfort, his involvement is still in doubt.
