According to La Provence, Simon Ngapandouetnbu (21) has extended his contract with Olympique de Marseille with his current deal set to expire in June.
The third choice goalkeeper at the club was developed in the Marseille academy system but is yet to make an appearance since signing a professional contract in 2019. He’s expected to sign for another two years with his training club but this time there comes with it the expectation that he will be sent on loan for further development.
Selected by Rigobert Song for Cameroon in the 2022 World Cup, Ngapandouetnbu has likewise never made a senior appearance for his international team, with his experience across football exclusively limited to the underage brackets thus far.
With a loan expected in the summer, Ngapandouetnbu until then will focus on recovering from a meniscus tear he suffered in March that continues to keep him away from playing in the reserves.
