Nigeria will be looking to bounce back at the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2025) after their disappointing run in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Nigeria has participated in the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) 20 times in the past, specifically in the years 1962, 1976, 1978, 1980, 1982, 1984, 1988, 1990, 1992, 1994, 2000, 2022, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2013, 2019, 2021, and 2023.
They have been crowned African champions in the 1980, 1994, and 2013 editions.
Head coach Eric Chelle has announced a preliminary squad featuring the following players:
