Grêmio striker Carlos Vinicius has been handed a two-match Conmebol suspension after his Copa Sudamericana red card, ruling him out of both legs of the late-July play-off against Bolívar.
According to Globo.com, he was sent off in stoppage time of the draw with Montevideo City Torque at the Arena for dissent. A disciplinary panel added a further match to the automatic one-game ban.
The play-off is set for 22 July and 30 July, both Thursdays, with kick-off at 19:00 Brasília time.
The first leg is scheduled for Estadio Hernando Siles in La Paz despite political turmoil in Bolivia that has recently forced venue changes in the Libertadores and Sudamericana. The return is at the Arena in Porto Alegre.
The winners will face São Paulo in the last 16.
