Carrillo emerges as Corinthians fans’ pick to replace Bidon for Santos clash | OneFootball

Peruvian winger André Carrillo has been chosen by Corinthians supporters to step in for the suspended Breno Bidon in Sunday’s Campeonato Brasileiro derby against Santos at 16:00 at Neo Química Arena.

According to Meu Timao, a fan poll made Carrillo the clear favourite to take the midfield slot.

He received 73.6% of the vote and has started Corinthians’ last three matches.

Jesse Lingard followed with 6.8%, while Matheus Pereira and Dieguinho tied on 4.7% apiece. The ‘other’ option drew 2.7%.

Corinthians head into the Santos meeting after back-to-back league slips against Cruzeiro and Coritiba, and will be looking to regain momentum to ease any table concerns.

The team are 10th on 32 points. Victory over Santos could lift them to 7th, depending on other results in the round.
