Ousmane Camara led the way for Castellón against Cultural Leonesa, scoring a valuable goal before a penalty was conceded in the 90th minute. El Periódico Mediterráneo reports the player ratings, with Camara top.

Goalkeeper Matthys handled the best opposition chances well, only beaten from the spot late on. Alberto, on his 101st appearance for Castellón, held the back line under pressure and improved after the break. Salva Ruiz was tidy in possession but a late first-half error nearly made it 1-0, he adjusted before being replaced.

Gerenabarrena started in defence with some awkward moments, then grew in his natural midfield role, lifting his partner. Lucas Alcázar struggled defensively with space, but after the interval he pushed on and might have added a second.

Doué produced a couple of strong breaks after regains yet could not set the tempo and was withdrawn at half-time. Barri never quite found his pockets, worked hard and played while booked. Cala won a lot of ball, including for the 1-0, though his passing lacked clarity and a fifth yellow means he will miss Albacete.

Jakobsen’s early spark faded quickly, he neither beat his man wide nor threatened in the box. Pablo Santiago chased relentlessly before a more productive spell in the second half, then made way. Camara imposed himself on defenders throughout and his goal carried real weight.

From the bench, Suero made an immediate impact, delivering a fine cross for Camara’s strike and later striking the bar from distance. Fadel began brightly but showed inexperience in the penalty incident on his Castalia debut. Raúl Sánchez again struggled to hit his best, and Brignani came on late for Salva.
