CD Castellón: Doué and Tincho omitted on eve of transfer window deadline | OneFootball

The summer window closes on Tuesday at 23:59, and CD Castellón approach deadline day with one squad place open after José Albert’s weekend loan exit. According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, that may not be the final departure.

On Monday, minutes before facing Celta Fortuna, Marco Doué was a surprise omission from Pablo Hernández’s squad. The midfielder had travelled to Vigo with the team but was left out late on.

Wing-back Tincho did not travel with the group and is another name in focus in the hours ahead. Striker Adam Jakobsen also stayed behind due to a muscular problem, having already been ruled out late against Sabadell at SkyFi Castalia.

Two further absences were down to fitness. Centre-backs Brignani, out long term, and Kostis, still working towards full fitness, were unavailable. By contrast, attacking midfielder Israel Suero, whose future had been questioned recently, made the squad.

Castellón have done most of their business early yet want to finish the window with assurance. Last week they announced their only August addition, veteran Italian centre-back Federico Ceccherini.
