Cédric Bakambu has signed for San Diego FC in MLS, joining on Thursday. According to L'Équipe, the move gives the 35-year-old a seventh league in his career.

The Congolese forward has previously played in France, Türkiye, Spain, China, Greece and Saudi Arabia, and featured at the 2026 World Cup.

He has signed until the end of the 2026 season, with options for the 2027 MLS campaign and the 2027-2028 season.

Bakambu will wear number 94, a nod to his birthplace department Val-de-Marne. He was born in Vitry-sur-Seine and began at US Vitry.

A former Sochaux and Marseille player, he arrives as a free agent after a stint at Betis Seville from early 2024 to this summer, where he scored 15 goals in 74 matches.
