Celta Vigo explore left-back options amid Jesús Vázquez push | OneFootball

According to Superdeporte, amid expected departures at Valencia, Jesús Vázquez is the latest name in the frame as Celta press to sign the left-back, with Giráldez keen and their offer could rise soon. He is not their only target.

With another European campaign in mind, Celta are seeking to bolster the left flank and are looking beyond Manu Sánchez after a good loan at Levante UD. They are surveying LaLiga for a left-back.

The club’s technical team are focused on Osasuna. Their preferred option is Javi Galán, 31, who spent two seasons at Balaídos before joining Atlético de Madrid. He played the second half at El Sadar, starting brightly then fading under Lisci, and will be a free agent from 1 July.

Giráldez has also enquired about Abel Bretones. The left-back lost his place after Galán arrived but remained important in the rotation. He is under contract and a price around 3 million euros is viewed as affordable.

The problem for Osasuna is that Braulio Vázquez could lose all three senior left-backs at once, as Juan Cruz will leave.
