Colon, Falcon lift Puerto Rico over Haiti in Women’s U-17 Qualifiers

ALAJUELA, Costa Rica – The Final Round of the 2026 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers continued with Puerto Rico earning a 3-1 win against Haiti in Group B on Tuesday at the Costa Rica Football Federation Field #1 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
Mia Colon scored the first goal for Puerto Rico, breaking the deadlock before halftime, in the 43’.
Colon received a foul in the area, leading to the referee to call for a penalty for Puerto Rico. Giselle Falcon converted from the penalty spot to double the lead for Las Boricuas in the 45’.
Miya Larco struck a right-footed shot from outside the box in the 45'+2’ to put Haiti on the board.
Michaela Poidomani scored in the 67’ to recover the two-goal lead for Puerto Rico and secure a three-point start.
Group B play will resume on Thursday, March 19. Haiti will face the United States, while Puerto Rico searches for back-to-back wins against Bermuda.
