FC Bayern is preparing for the cup match in Osnabrück, which will take place on Wednesday evening. Due to the Super Cup match against Borussia Dortmund, the first-round game was postponed, as has been the case in recent years.
Preparations are in full swing; the team trained again today, Monday, at Säbener Straße. Arijon Ibrahimović was no longer with the team; he is already on his way to Augsburg, where he will undergo a medical exam prior to his transfer.
According to Sky, Jamal Musiala once again completed the full training session and had no issues. However, he is still not expected to play against Osnabrück.
Sky also reports that Serge Gnabry completed the full team training session as well. After sustaining an adductor injury before the final stretch of last season, he was sidelined for a long time. Since it was a complicated injury, the club in Munich had recently been cautious with Gnabry and didn’t want to take any risks.

That’s why his return to action has been handled with great care. A new injury or a setback must be avoided at all costs. Whether Gnabry will travel to Osnabrück will likely only become clear at Vincent Kompany’s press conference on Tuesday (10 a.m.). What is clear is that the forward has been training intensively on his own for some time now and has recently been able to participate in parts of team training.
Gnabry could be a factor, at least for Saturday’s Bundesliga match at Schalke. In the run-up to that match, there will also be discussion about whether to risk reintegrating Jamal Musiala into the roster or to wait a little longer. The fact that he’s currently handling the workload without any problems is, however, a positive sign for now.
