L'Équipe reports that captain Corentin Tolisso will return for Lyon against Nice on Sunday at 20:45, with recruit Roman Yaremchuk also available.
Tolisso missed the last four matches after being withdrawn at half-time in the 5-2 at Metz on 25 January.
Team-mate Tyler Morton called him an outstanding influence, saying he has learned from his attitude and that his absence was felt, and that his return reminds them what playing for the club means. The Rhone club have won 12 straight in all competitions, with the Gérard Houllier-era mark of 14 in 2006 in sight.
Despite the boost, fitness issues remain. Afonso Moreira is out, expected back for the trip to Strasbourg on 22 February after hamstring pain sustained at Nantes on seven February, where the scoreline was 1-0. His return to training is set for next week, as is the case for defenders Ruben Kluivert and Nicolas Tagliafico.
Head coach Paulo Fonseca said they would be without wide players and that it is on him to find a solution to prepare an attacking team.
Lyon hope Malick Fofana and Ernest Nuamah can rejoin full training in the week before the trip to Marseille on one March, with Fonseca noting Fofana is slightly ahead but that both are doing well. Orel Mangala is also due to return to group work from next week. Endrick is suspended for the Nice match.
