Corentin Tolisso has unveiled a new goal celebration inspired by a young Lyon supporter.

According to L'Équipe, the gesture answered a challenge from young fan Côme on the Ligue 1+ programme Ma Super Ligue 1. The show lets children meet players from their favourite clubs on matchdays.

First, on Saturday 25 April against Auxerre, a 3-2 result, the midfielder scored and supplied an assist. Then on Sunday against Rennes, a 4-2 result, he added a goal and two assists.

On both occasions he tugged the Lyon crest on his shirt towards the home support, a deliberate nod to the supporter’s request.

The Lyon captain, 31, has scored seven Ligue 1 goals in 2026, the most by any midfielder in that period. A France international with 28 caps and two goals, his form will continue to fuel debate over a possible call-up for the 2026 World Cup, 11 June to 19 July.
