Corinthian-Casuals book signing at Parque São Jorge Memorial

This Tuesday (6), the Corinthians Memorial at Parque São Jorge will host a special event. Chris Watney, one of the creators of the Corinthian-Casuals tour from England to Brazil in 2015, will attend a book signing session for “Corinthian – The Most Beautiful Story in World Football,” which he co-authored with journalist Tomás Rosolino.

Watney, who was also a player and representative of the English club and co-produced the documentary “Brothers in Football” about the tour, will be at the Memorial from 10 AM to 12 PM (Brasília time), available to fans who visit the location. It is worth noting that during this period, access to the space will be free, with no admission charge.

In the work, released in 2021, Chris Watney and Tomás Rosolino take the reader through the founding context of Corinthian FC in 1882 and its mission to spread football worldwide, along with other details of its history and, finally, its relationship with Brazil, culminating in the 2015 tour.

During the club's visit to the country, the English conducted activities related to the history of their predecessor, Corinthian FC, which visited São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro in 1910 for a series of friendlies, one of which inspired the creation of Corinthians in September of that year. The highlight of the trip 11 years ago was the friendly against the Alvinegro coached by Tite, which ended 3-0 for the Brazilians.
