Corinthians bank on Canindé form in bid to reach Brasileirão Feminino semi-finals | OneFootball

Corinthians return to the Canindé on Monday seeking a place in the Brasileirão Feminino semi-finals, buoyed by a strong knockout record there, three wins, one draw and one defeat from five ties.

According to Meu Timao, the club confirmed the ground as the venue last Wednesday for the 17:00 meeting with Cruzeiro, their first Canindé knockout against opponents from outside São Paulo.

The Brabas first used the stadium in August 2024, beating Red Bull Bragantino 1-0 in a Brasileirão quarter-final second leg, Vic Albuquerque scoring. The following month they lost 2-1 to Palmeiras there in the semi-final, yet reached the final 4-3 on aggregate. In 2025 the venue staged two more derbies. Corinthians drew 2-2 with São Paulo in August in the Brasileirão semi-final return, progressing 4-2 on aggregate, then beat Palmeiras 1-0 in December in the Paulistão final second leg, though they finished runners-up after a 5-1 first-leg defeat.

This season the Brabas are unbeaten at the Canindé, winning three first-phase league games, Santos 4-1, Vitória 4-0 and Mixto 4-1. Overall they have 19 wins in 21 outings there, 66 goals scored at 3.14 per game and only eight conceded at 0.38.

Monday’s tie could seal a last-four place, and after winning the first leg thanks to a Vic Albuquerque goal, Corinthians advance with a draw.
