Corinthians continue youth overhaul, 17 staff members let go

After dismissing four employees at the beginning of last week, Corinthians continues its restructuring process in the youth categories and this Monday (24th), dismissed 17 employees from the department. The information was initially published by journalist Luis Fabiani from Rádio Bandeirantes.

The measure was justified as a cost-cutting strategy. The departures affected technical commissions and the recruitment sector, as well as a supervisor. The dismissals focused on the Under-7 to Under-14 categories, in addition to the Under-16, which had a cut. According to Meu Timão, the Under-15 to Under-20 were not affected this time.

Currently, the restructuring in the youth categories of Corinthians is being led by the general director Carlos Roberto Aurrichio, known as Nenê do Posto, and the department executive, Erasmo Darmiani. In recent months, more than 40 athletes (Under-17 and 20) have left the Alvinegro base, in addition to Batata and Chicão, who were technical and transition coordinators, respectively.
