Corinthians beat Pato Futsal 2-0 at Ginásio Wlamir Marques on Saturday, in the 15th and final round of the Liga Nacional de Futsal's first phase, consolidating their best spell of the season.

As reported by Meu Timao, the result underlines Corinthians' resurgence. Fernando Malafaia's side have not lost since four July at Ginásio Amário Vieira da Costa in Paraná, when Umuarama won 1-0, and they are now six unbeaten across the LNF and the Paulista with four wins and two draws.

The response began on 10 July with a 3-1 LNF victory over Minas at Parque São Jorge, followed by a 2-2 draw with São José at Ginásio Teatrão. They then edged AABB 6-5 in the Paulista, drew 1-1 with Marreco at Ginásio Arrudão, and thrashed Impacto 5-1 at Wlamir Marques before Saturday's win.

The club last put together a longer run between September and November 2025, going eight matches unbeaten with seven wins and one draw across the Paulista and the LNF, campaigns that ended as runners-up in both.

This upturn lifted Corinthians clear of relegation danger, taking them to 16 points and 11th place in the LNF's overall standings.

They will face Pato again in the next round's knockout stage after the Paraná side finished sixth, with the two legs scheduled for the first week of September. Before that, Corinthians visit Botucatu on 12 August at 19:00 at Ginásio Paralímpico Professor Osni Bertotti Leme in the Paulista.
