Corinthians fans launch petition for judicial intervention and demand Stabile’s removal | OneFootball

Corinthians supporters will launch the Movimento Libertação Já on Wednesday at 19:10, urging judicial intervention at Parque São Jorge amid a severe financial crisis and a string of leadership scandals.

According to Meu Timao, the push builds on 'Expulsão Já', which drew more than 50,000 signatures in April to expel former presidents Andrés Sanchez, Duilio Monteiro Alves and Augusto Melo from the membership.

Organisers want precautionary removal of senior office-holders and an independent audit, arguing that simple changes of personnel are insufficient. Targets include club chief Osmar Stabile, and council heads Romeu Tuma Júnior, Miguel Marques e Silva and Haroldo Dantas.

The 2025 accounts showed a R$ 143.4 million deficit and gross debt of R$ 2.7 billion, while three Fifa transfer bans currently block new registrations. MP-SP is also probing payments to Mega Assessoria Operacional Ltda, allegedly unauthorised by the Federal Police, and to Bear Security.

The fans’ plea runs alongside an MP-SP civil inquiry, opened in December and resumed in May, assessing the legal scope for intervention. The group has posted a petition at intervencaofiel.com.br, targeting 10 online signatures to bolster the case.

A separate petition seeks Stabile’s immediate removal, fuelling #ForaStabile. Backers say any court action should be temporary and confined to administration, with a full audit, possible court-appointed administrators and debate on statute reform and models such as the Sociedade Anônima do Futebol. They cite Bahia’s 2011 to 2013 intervention as precedent.
