Corinthians have paid the first instalment of overdue image rights to their women’s squad, settling June. President Osmar Stabile said July’s amount will be cleared by the end of next week.

According to Meu Timao, the payment came three days after part of the team went to Parque São Jorge to press Stabile over arrears. Players arrived around 16:00 and left roughly three and a half hours later after meeting him.

The meeting set a 10-day window to regularise the debts, with failure potentially affecting the squad during decisive Brasileirão Feminino fixtures. On Friday, Stabile reiterated the plan and said the first tranche would land by day’s end.

Timely payments are tied to squad retention, since Brazilian labour rules allow unilateral termination if delays exceed three months. Corinthians risked losing players without compensation had the backlog grown.

Despite Friday’s step, other obligations remain, including bonuses for the 2025 Libertadores title and runners-up prizes in the 2026 Copa das Campeãs and Supercopa do Brasil.

The club is using its own funds rather than sponsor money such as Fatal Fans, though the company has twice supported the women’s programme.

Fatal Fans will cover forward Gisela Robledo’s wages after her renewal through July 2027, and earlier injected R$ 11 million toward a R$ 13 million deficit. About R$ 2 million remains outstanding.

The Brabas prepare for the Brasileirão Feminino knockouts against Cruzeiro and the Campeonato Paulista play-in with Red Bull Bragantino. They travel to Ecuador in October for the Libertadores.
