Corinthians opened their London camp in biting cold as they step up for the Copa das Campeãs, FIFA’s Women’s Club World Cup. They meet United States side Gotham FC in the semi-finals on 28 January at the Gtech Community Stadium, kick-off 9.30am Brasília time.

According to Meu Timao, the squad are using fourth-tier Barnet’s training complex as their base. Day one featured gym-based conditioning before a roughly 60-minute tactical session on grass led by coach Lucas Piccinato.

The group also followed an internal programme of meetings and medical work with the club’s Performance and Health unit set up at the team hotel. Morning temperatures in London were below 10C.

There were three absences from the session, Venezuela’s Day Rodríguez and Colombia internationals Paola García and Gisela Robledo. All three are registered for the tournament and remain in São Paulo while travel documentation is processed.

Centre-backs Agustina Barroso and Thaís Regina are not part of the work in England. Neither is registered for the Copa das Campeãs and both continue injury rehabilitation in Brazil.

Corinthians’ schedule resumes on Friday with another training session at Barnet. On Saturday the Brabas will attend Corinthian-Casuals against Abbey Rangers FC at King George’s Fields in the Combined Counties League South 2025/26.
