Corinthians tip off in Novo Basquete Brasil with clash against Minas

On the night of this Saturday, October 18, Corinthians faces Minas in the first round of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB), which kicks off the 2025/26 season this weekend. The game will take place at Arena UniBH, in Belo Horizonte, starting at 6pm (Brasília time).

Timão arrives prepared and focused for the match after starting the season by competing in the Campeonato Paulista. In the state championship, the team led by Jece Leite was eliminated by Pinheiros in the quarterfinals, after losing one of the games at Parque São Jorge.

Probable lineup

To start the NBB on the right foot, the coaching staff is expected to send out a starting five consisting of Elinho, Davaunta Thomas, Rafael Munford, Victão, and Gabriel Novaes. This is the same core lineup that had been used in the Paulista Basketball games.

Broadcast

Next fixture

After facing Minas, Corinthians remains in Belo Horizonte to take on Cruzeiro in the second round of the NBB. The game will take place next Tuesday, the 21st, starting at 8:30pm (Brasília time).
