Corinthians to assess further renewals after Memphis agreement

With Memphis Depay’s renewal finally sealed, Corinthians have shifted focus to other contract decisions. According to Globo.com, the Dutch forward has extended to 31 July 2028 and the board will now prioritise renewals across the squad.

There are 10 players whose contracts expire at the end of this year, talks had been on hold while the Depay deal was resolved. The first cases set to be reviewed are André Carrillo and centre-back André Ramalho.

Renewals matter because the club do not plan to recruit in this mid-year window. Corinthians face three transfer bans and, without R$ 21.5 million to clear debts, cannot lift them.

Each situation will be judged on sporting and financial grounds. Kaio César’s loan includes a 6 million euros purchase clause, about R$ 36 million at current rates, which the board consider too high in the present context.

Allan and Matheus Pereira are also on loan, both with options to buy. Jesse Lingard’s deal ends this year, but it would extend automatically until the end of 2027 if targets are met.

The group contracted to 31 December 2026 also includes Hugo, Fabrizio Angileri, Vitinho and Zakaria Labyad, whose agreement carries an automatic extension due to injury.
