Corinthians will face Pato Futsal in the first round of the Liga Nacional de Futsal play-offs, a two-legged tie in the first week of September for a quarter-final berth.
According to Meu Timao, if the two ties finish level overall, either via two draws or one win apiece, there will be extra time of two five-minute periods. If still level on aggregate, Pato advance due to a better regular-season record.
Fernando Malafaia’s team ended the first phase 11th, with four wins, four draws and seven defeats, all victories at Ginásio Wlamir Marques. Pato were sixth with seven wins, five losses and three draws. The winners face Atlântico de Erechim, second overall, in the quarter-finals.
Head-to-head is tight: Corinthians have four wins, three defeats and six draws from 13 meetings, scoring 27 and conceding 26. In the final round on Saturday night, they beat Pato 2-0 at Ginásio Wlamir Marques through Lucas Oliveira and Fabinho to book their place.
Corinthians are chasing a third LNF crown after triumphs in 2016 and 2022. They were runners-up in 2025, losing to Jaraguá in the final.
From the 2026 play-offs the competition will use Vídeo Suporte, equivalent to VAR in football. It applies only to protocol cases such as goal or no goal, penalty or not, direct red card, mistaken identity and sixth foul checks, plus clock failures, goal confirmation and whether the ball crossed the line before the end-of-period signal. Each team gets one unsuccessful challenge per period with no carry-over, and one more in extra time.
