Corinthians' top fan group urges support for statute reform vote

Gaviões da Fiel, the largest organized supporters group of Corinthians, published a call on the morning of this Sunday (23) for its members and club supporters in general to gather at Parque São Jorge this Monday (24), where the Deliberative Council (CD) will meet to discuss and vote on the reform of the club’s statute.

The request is for fans to attend the gathering, which is scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM (Brasília time). The council meeting itself is expected to start at 7:00 PM. The main demand from Gaviões regarding the statute reform is related to the voting rights of members of the Fiel Torcedor program, something that was accepted by the committee and is included in the draft released in October.

If the CD approves changes to the current statute, a general assembly will be held on December 20, giving club members the opportunity to ratify or reject the new statute. See below for the full text of the supporters group’s call:

“We call on our members and all Corinthians supporters to attend the meeting of the Corinthians Deliberative Council this Monday (24), at 7:00 PM, at Pq. São Jorge. 

The body will be meeting to address the STATUTE REFORM, which includes the topic of FIEL TORCEDOR HAVING VOTING RIGHTS, a cause we have advocated for so that the choice of president is made by the Corinthians supporter.

We’re counting on you! The gathering at Pq. São Jorge will begin at 5:00 PM.”
