Coventry City won 2-0 at Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Saturday to stay top of the Championship and extend their league winning run to five.

In the 37th minute, Tatsuhiro Sakamoto headed in from close range after Jay Dasilva's cross. Joel Latibeaudiere was sent off for the visitors (43.). Haji Wright then swept in during the sixth minute of first half stoppage time.

After the restart, City introduced Scott Twine and pushed on. Carl Rushworth saved from the midfielder and later tipped away George Tanner's drive as Coventry City held firm.

City posted 24 attempts and 11 corners with 59.6% possession. Coventry City registered 10 attempts and hit the target seven times.

Wright now has 16 league goals, second in the Championship scoring chart.
