Crystal Palace reach agreement with Union Saint-Gilloise for Anan Khalaili | OneFootball

Crystal Palace have agreed a deal with Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise to sign Anan Khalaili, according to Foot Mercato.

Negotiations between the two clubs progressed smoothly in recent days, culminating in a transfer package that meets the Belgian giants’ financial expectations.

Palace have also agreed personal terms with the player, clearing the way for his arrival in London.

The 21-year-old has quickly established himself as one of European football’s most exciting young talents.

Comfortable as a right winger or right wing-back, Khalaili brings explosive speed, sharp dribbling and physical resilience to the Eagles.

After breaking through at Maccabi Haifa, he has since made a smooth transition to Belgian football. He recorded six goals and six assists in 52 appearances last season.

Signing Khalaili marks another strategic success in Palace’s recruitment model, which focuses on acquiring high-upside young talent with significant development potential.

Palace had been targeting a versatile wide player capable of stretching opposition defences in transition while providing defensive stability in deeper roles, Links to Krepin Diatta also emerged recently.

With club-to-club terms agreed and Khalaili giving his approval, he is set to travel to England for a medical.

If the examinations proceed without issue, the versatile attacker will sign a long-term contract at Selhurst Park.

Khalaili was close to joining Inter Milan earlier this summer before medical issues caused the deal to collapse, meaning Palace will be cautious as they prepare to formalise his signing.
