Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of striker Liam Delap from Chelsea on a five-year contract.

The 23-year-old arrives at the City Ground for a fee of around £50m after spending last season at Stamford Bridge, where he made 41 appearances in all competitions.

Delap joined Chelsea following an impressive 2024/25 campaign with Ipswich Town, where he scored 12 goals to finish as the Tractor Boys’ top scorer in their first season back in the Premier League for 22 years.

The forward says he is relishing the opportunity to take the next step in his career at Forest.

“I really can’t wait to get started, this is a massive club with a big history,” he said.

“I spoke to the manager and I like his way. I think he can be the one to really help me develop and make that next step and hopefully I can bring goals here.

“I can’t wait to hear the noise at the City Ground and have the fans on my side because I know how loud and important they are.

“As a team we can build something really strong and the main aim is to challenge and be a top club in the Premier League.”
