CD Castellón have agreed a transfer with Deportivo de la Coruña for 18-year-old midfielder Adrián Arapio, the club said in a statement.
Regarded as one of the club’s most promising academy players, Arapio had been fast-tracked. He also trained with the senior squad and debuted in a pre-season friendly against Albacete in August 2025, aged 17.
Standing close to 1.90 metres, he mixes imposing physicality with game intelligence and crisp distribution, and has been seen as a positional holding midfielder who wants the ball. Academy director Víctor Ventura previously painted him as a rare profile and judged that his pathway was a matter of time, from División de Honor to the reserves and on towards the professional game.
Arapio joined Castellón in summer 2023 as a cadete from Alboraya UD, having earlier spent much of his youth at Valencia CF after starting at Caxton College.
Last season, still a second-year juvenil, he made 22 appearances for the reserves in Segunda Federación and featured in 10 more matches for Juvenil A.
His rise will now continue at Deportivo following the agreement between the clubs.
