Dion Sanderson has spoken out on the strange rumour that his Derby County teammate is taking part in a Mr Beast challenge.
Derby County will be looking to close the gap to the Championship play-offs to just three points this weekend as they face the already relegated Sheffield Wednesday at Pride Park, with a third successive home win looking likely.
The Rams have been inconsistent in recent weeks, but an excellent 3-1 comeback victory over Blackburn Rovers last weekend should give John Eustace's side plenty of confidence heading into their clash against the Owls - a side that they have already beaten 3-0 this season.
However, they will be without their first-choice goalkeeper Jacob Widell Zetterstrom.
There has been a significant injury update at Pride Park, as confirmed by John Eustace, and the Swedish shot-stopper is still unable to join in with full training after suffering from a virus.
Yet, on Thursday evening, a strange rumour began to swirl on X that the 27-year-old was out of action for another reason, and it seems that those in the Derby changing room have now heard where their teammate is supposedly meant to be right now.
The rumour concerning Zetterstrom suggested that the reason behind his unavailability was the fact that he is currently involved in a Mr Beast YouTube video and he was going to be out for over three months.
Nevertheless, it is well known that he is struggling with illness and that is why he has played just once since mid-January. However, the joke has reached the rest of the Derby squad, with centre-back Dion Sanderson taking to his Instagram story to wish his teammate well.

Sanderson got quite the reaction from some of his Rams colleagues, with David Ozoh, Patrick Agyemang and the injured Max Johnston all replying to his story. The former, who is on loan from Crystal Palace, said: "You're not serious 🤣"
While forward Agyemang, who is looking to score his first goal since Valentine's Day, replied: "You idiot 🤣🤣." With Johnston simply putting: "😂😂😂😂😂."
Zetterstrom has been spotted at games recently, and while he is not ready to return to action just yet, supporters are raring to see their number one back between the posts as soon as possible as Derby's push for the play-offs continues.
Josh Vickers and Richard O'Donnell have stepped up since the Sweden international was ruled out of action, but there is no denying that the Rams are missing their first-choice goalkeeper and they will be keen to see him back in the starting XI soon.
Following a strong, but at times inconsistent, first year at Pride Park, Zetterstrom has come on leaps and bounds since the arrival of goalkeeper coach Paul Clements and he has become one of the division's very best between the posts.

Derby have valued Zetterstrom at £15m, as per the Daily Mail, but if they are able to keep hold of their number one past the summer, then their chances of promotion to the Premier League next season will only increase.
Nevertheless, the most important thing for the former Djurgardens goalkeeper right now is for him to get back to full fitness and get back playing for Eustace's team.
