Done Deal: FC Bayern Confirms Next Departure | OneFootball

FC Bayern still has a few players on its roster that the club would like to part ways with. One of them is now on the verge of a transfer; the final details have just been worked out. 

This does not involve Joao Palhinha, who traveled to Portugal a few days ago to finalize his transfer to Benfica. His situation is still somewhat up in the air because both clubs are still negotiating the very last details before he is cleared to leave and the contract is signed.

Before that, however, Bryan Zaragoza is expected to sign with his new club. Although he’s fit again, he’s recently been training only on his own with Bayern because talks with RCD Espanyol of Barcelona were underway.

Zaragoza set to leave Bayern

Reports of an impending transfer emerged as early as Sunday, and it was said that only the final differences remained to be resolved before a loan deal—likely followed by a purchase option—could be agreed upon.

Those very details have now been finalized—and in FC Bayern’s favor. According to Fabrizio Romano, a mandatory buyout clause following the loan was even agreed upon. It’s possible that FC Bayern moved slightly away from its original demands regarding the fee to make the deal possible in this form.

In any case, Romano reports that the record champions will receive a transfer fee of eight million euros following the loan. The amount of the loan fee is not known. Following his loan to Roma in the second half of last season—which came after a cut-short loan to Spain—the dribbling-proficient attacking player now faces a new challenge.

FC Bayern signed the 24-year-old from FC Granada in 2024. The Spaniard played a total of only seven games for the record champions, failed to score a goal, and was always considered a misfit. This chapter now appears to be definitively over.
