Eintracht Frankfurt confirm Theate’s season-long loan to Bologna

Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed Belgium international Arthur Theate has left to join Bologna on loan.

BuLi News reports that the move is for the season and includes an option for the Serie A club to buy.

Sporting director Timmo Hardung thanked Theate for his two years at Frankfurt and his commitment to the club.

He said the defender quickly became an important part of the team and wished him well on and off the pitch in Bologna.

Theate initially moved to Frankfurt on loan from Stade Rennais in the summer of 2024, with the transfer made permanent a year later.

He previously spent time at Bologna on loan between 2021 and 2022.
