Albert Riera is widely expected to be sacked by Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of the season, and Bild claims the club are assessing potential successors.
Just over three months after taking charge, Riera’s tenure already appears close to ending. Kjetil Knutsen and Jacob Neestrup, first touted in January after Dino Toppmöller’s dismissal, are again under consideration.
Knutsen is contracted to Bodø/Glimt until 2029. Neestrup is currently available after leaving FC Copenhagen at the end of March.
Other candidates named include Matthias Jaissle at Al Ahli and Domenico Tedesco, who is currently without a club after most recently coaching Fenerbahçe.
Adi Hütter and Oliver Glasner, both popular with supporters, appear unlikely to return. A move for Roger Schmidt, now working as global sports director for the Japanese J.League, also seems improbable.
Outside bets include Mike Tullberg of FC Midtjylland, Tobias Strobl of SC Verl, Tonda Eckert of Southampton and Danny Röhl of Rangers.
