Striker joins Eagles from FC Midtjylland on contract until 2031

Eintracht Frankfurt and Danish club FC Midtjylland have agreed terms over the transfer of striker Malik Pimpong. The 18-year-old Dane, who stands at 1.90m, joins the Eagles on a contract until 30 June 2031.

Pimpong made 46 appearances – including seven in the UEFA Youth League – for FC Midtjylland U19s over the past two seasons, registering 30 goals and one assist. Last season alone, he found the net 20 times in only 26 U19 Drenge Ligaen outings, and was also part of Midtjylland’s UEFA Europa League squad on two occasions. 

Pimpong has racked up 24 international appearances for Denmark’s U17, U18 and U19 sides to date, scoring 12 goals in the process. 

“Malik Pimpong is a young player who brings with him a lot of talent and potential,” said sporting director Timmo Hardung. “The important thing now is to give him the time and space to get used to Eintracht Frankfurt, our structure and his new surroundings. We want to gradually bring him up to this level, support his development in a targeted way and offer him stability at the same time. We’re confident he’ll have an environment here where he can realise his potential, one step at a time.”
