Enzo Pérez says Benfica duo are national-team calibre | OneFootball

Enzo Pérez has hailed Benfica’s Argentine pair Enzo Barrenechea and Gianluca Prestianni, judging them to be of national-team calibre.

"Prestianni and Enzo are very good players, national-team level. Benfica have a good team for this season," he said in an interview with Record.

Barrenechea is currently out of Marco Silva’s selections as he continues recovery from surgery on his left knee carried out in September.

Prestianni, by contrast, has seen his Benfica form rewarded with an Argentina call-up and he scored against Burkina Faso.

In the early hours of last Thursday, he made his first start for the national team against Bolivia, underlining a standout spell.

Pérez considers both capable of representing Argentina and sees significant potential in the pair for Benfica.
