Espanyol have signed Bryan Zaragoza on a season-long loan that carries an obligation to buy at the end of the campaign. According to Superdeporte, the Catalan club will pay eight million to make the move permanent.

Bayern Munich had no plans for the skilful winger this season and are prepared to cut their losses to move him on. The German side have not fully trusted him and sought a definitive parting.

Zaragoza is 24 and has already played in three countries. He had been tracked by many LaLiga sides despite being under contract at Bayern and out of their plans.

His second half of last season in Italy did little to convince, after an inconsistent first half at Balaídos. A similar pattern played out at Osasuna in the second part of 24/25.

Back in the season Valencia tried to sign him, Braulio Vázquez moved faster and proved more persuasive than the Valencia project. Espanyol now offer a fresh start in Barcelona, where he will hope to find stability and rediscover his best.
