Former West Brom captain Jed Wallace has joined Championship rivals Bristol City on a two-year deal after leaving The Hawthorns.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, the 32-year-old made more than 140 appearances across four years with the Baggies before departing at the end of his contract.
Wallace said he is proud and excited to be at Ashton Gate, viewing this season as a big opportunity to achieve something and hoping to support the leaders already in the group.
He acknowledged there will be ups and downs, stressing the role of experienced players in keeping the dressing room together, and said he looks forward to getting out on the pitch and meeting supporters.
Robins manager Michael Skubala welcomed the signing, saying they know his quality and that recruiting someone so experienced at the level is very positive. Sporting director James Ellis said balancing a youthful squad with players who understand the division is key, and that Wallace brings this in abundance.
