I’ve already expressed my thoughts on the two of them. We still have roster slots available, and as we’ve always maintained, the transfer market never truly sleeps – especially when it comes to free agents. Wherever the club sees a genuine opportunity to strengthen the squad, we will make the proper evaluations.

Yes, every new contract naturally impacts our overall labor costs. But regarding those financial metrics, I want to reassure everyone: we will continue to operate effectively in the transfer market just as we always have. In fact, we’re actively building real asset value within our squad. I estimate the total value of this Lazio roster is hovering around €400 million, and official parameters reflecting that should come out in the coming days. Lazio didn’t just sign players for the sake of signing them. There was a good dose of cleverness and skill in snapping up free agents or players who were no longer part of other clubs’ plans, and bringing them here has been immensely rewarding. We’ve built tangible financial equity. That’s crucial because it gives you the stability to navigate the market through sales while bringing in equally capable players – look at Taty Castellanos or Matteo Guendouzi as prime examples. This summer we lost Mario Gila, and Alessio Romagnoli wished to pursue a new opportunity elsewhere, so we accommodated him. I don’t believe we’ve weakened this team; we’ve rebalanced it.

I’m not the type to pat myself on the back; I’m here because my role requires it. It’s up to the pundits and industry professionals to pass judgment, and those ratings should only be handed out at the end of the year. If we deserved a 5, a 4.5, or a 3 last season, I’d still prefer to wait until the final whistle of this campaign before making evaluations. I don’t like claiming personal credit for the transfer window or praising the manager prematurely – there’s no room for ego here. I’m paid to do a job, and I try to do it to the best of my ability. Whether I succeed or not is up to the good Lord to decide. Everything I’ve done, I’ve done with passion and love for this club, these colors, and our fans. Ultimately, the pitch is the supreme judge. Winning three matches can mean everything or nothing at all. We have to keep putting in the work as we have so far without letting endless compliments distract us. Football can be a cruel beast; we must stay focused on this path we’ve taken to reach our minimum goal of bringing Lazio back into European competition.

There is an ongoing situation that needs to be resolved, because playing without our supporters is far from easy – over the course of a long season, they genuinely bring you extra points. Just this past weekend I watched a few matches where the fans gave their teams the sheer energy needed to overturn a result. When I previously asked for a solution, I wasn’t pointing fingers at the fans, but rather calling on everyone to sit down together and find common ground. My job is simply to urge all parties involved to try and fix this issue. Football is beautiful precisely because of the fans – there’s passion, positivity, and emotion. The truth is, we miss our supporters. They made a decision, we respect it, and we move forward. During our open training session, so many supporters showed up just to reassure the squad that they will always stand by the players. We’ll see if time can help mend things on that front. My goal wasn’t to lecture the supporters, but to speak to the entire environment, because we are all responsible for creating that positive chemistry.”
