According to PaponaColina, Vasco have agreed a deal with River Plate to sign forward Facundo Colidio. They will buy 50% of his rights for US$ 5 million, with the remainder contingent on targets. The 26-year-old is flying to Rio de Janeiro for medicals and to sign until December 2029.
His arrival answers a request to bolster both flanks and the centre of the attack. Checks will take place at CT Moacyr Barbosa, while the club moves to complete CBF registration.
Meanwhile, Vasco are in talks with Racing to finalise midfielder Santiago Sosa. The clubs are aligning guarantees required by the Avellaneda hierarchy before authorising his travel, and the deal is viewed internally as a matter of time.
Head coach Pedro Emanuel intends to integrate newcomers quickly. The plan is to have the Argentine pair eligible for the Campeonato Brasileiro and the Copa Sudamericana. Supporters await Colidio’s arrival and the official announcement.
Vasco’s staff believe Colidio fits their model, able to play wide, as a second striker or a false nine. The move is the club’s biggest outlay of this South American window and is intended to raise competitiveness. An unveiling is planned once all tests are cleared.
