Bayer Leverkusen announced on Tuesday the signing of Facundo Medina from OM for a total fee of 25 million euros including add-ons.

The Argentina defender has agreed a five-year contract. The move had been anticipated and is now official.

Medina leaves Marseille after one season, having previously played for Lens.

Marseille's overhaul continues, with Mason Greenwood, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Bilal Nadir and Hamed Junior Traoré already gone, and the loans of Benjamin Pavard, Ethan Nwaneri and Arthur Vermeeren now ended.

Leverkusen, for their part, continue to strengthen, having already added Miguel Gutiérrez and Afonso Moreira. Medina will wear the number two.
