Sky Germany reports that Toulouse attacker Farès Chaïbi is the top candidate to replace Jesper Lindstrøm at Eintracht Frankfurt with the latter closing in on a move away from the club.
Lindstrøm is on the verge of agreeing a move to Napoli in Serie A. The defending champions are set to pay Frankfurt €35m for the 23-year-old. The move is likely to be completed soon as Lindstrøm was on the bench for Frankfurt’s 1-1 draw with Mainz on Sunday, while the Dane also missed training today.
The likely replacement for Lindstrøm will be Chaïbi. The 20-year-old’s current contract at Toulouse expires in 2025 and he is likely to cost around €10m. Chaïbi has played in two games for Toulouse this season and even provided an assist in their 2-1 win against Nantes on opening day.
Frankfurt are likely to be very active in the final week of the transfer window as they try and complete the signing of Chaïbi while they will also have to find a replacement for Randal Kolo Muani as they continue to negotiate a transfer fee for the 24-year-old with PSG.
