FC Metz’s continued partnership with prestigious Senegalese club Génération Foot continues to reap rewards. It is a partnership that allowed Sadio Mané to join the club, notably, whilst Lamine Camara recently left to join AS Monaco. A regular in the Senegal national team, too, he is being linked with a big-money move to the Premier League.

However, Metz have missed out on Adama Diouf (18). He made his Senegal debut at the age of just 15, and like many Généation Foot players, had looked set to join Metz. His development has been slowed by two ACL injuries.

His future had been the source of a dispute. Metz still held hopes of signing the player. He was supposed to join the club upon turning 18. However, multiple agents got involved in the deal and, ultimately, he has joined Fenerbahce on a five-year deal. He is considered a player for the future for the Turkish club. In the short-term, he will look to build back from his second serious injury.
