FC Utrecht are reported to have submitted an initial bid to Olympique de Marseille in their attempt to sign Tadjidine Mmadi (19), according to information from RMC Sport. A fee of just under €5m is being mentioned.

However, the Dutch club are not the only one showing interest in securing the young forward’s services, with ESTAC Troyes, via the City Group, also said to be in the running.

Under contract with OM until 2029, Mmadi is reportedly open to Utrecht’s interest, whilst his club, which are seeking to raise funds, must now make a decision regarding the future of the French Under-20 international (six caps).

Having been thrown in at the deep end last season, Mmadi made six appearances (one goal, one assist) in all competitions for the Marseille side. Used by Bruno Genesio during pre-season, the young Phocean talent notably found the back of the net against Athletic Club.
